Fire blankets are designed for use in any kitchen environment where there is a risk of cooking oil and fat fires. They should also be used to wrap around employees to protect them when engaged in firefighting, or to cover any clothing that has caught fire. The blanket smothers the fire by creating a barrier to starve it of oxygen to extinguish the fire.

How Fire Blankets work
Fire blankets are manufactured from special fire-retardant fabric that is woven into square sheets.
